About Wyevale
Wyevale Central Public School is located within a beautifully treed setting in the heart of the community of Wyevale. Our school is situated in Tiny Township, one of fourteen townships in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. A full academic program from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight is offered to students in a warm and caring atmosphere. The “natural” setting of the school is used for an outdoor program and the community park and skating facilities situated adjacent to the school property are used to complement the Physical Education Program.
Staff work co-operatively as a team to assess student progress, plan programs and special events and to promote a safe and nurturing learning experience for the children. Teachers provide a variety of extra-curricular activities for student participation such as cross-country running and skiing, volleyball, basketball, track and field and soccer. Field trips for each grade take place throughout the year to supplement curriculums. Students take pride in their environment and an active Green Team works towards maintaining and improving the reduce, reuse, recycle program.
Wyevale and the nearby towns of Elmvale, Midland and Penetanguishene are great places to live and visit during all seasons of the year. Georgian Bay, freshwater beaches, and two wetland areas–the Wye Marsh and Tiny Marsh are a few of the popular tourist attractions. Historic sites such as Sainte Marie Among the Hurons, The Martyr’s Shrine and Discovery Harbour are other special points of interest. Plan to visit our area in the near future.
